MetMalaysia warns of thunderstorms in eight states, Labuan until 10pm (May 30)


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has warned of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in eight states and Labuan until 10pm on Saturday (May 30).

In a statement at 7.35pm on Saturday, MetMalaysia said the states affected are Kedah (Baling, Kulim and Bandar Baharu); Penang (North Seberang Perai, Central Seberang Perai and South Seberang Perai); Perak (Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak and Kuala Kangsar); Kelantan (Gua Musang); Terengganu (Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu, Marang, Dungun and Kemaman); and Pahang (Lipis and Jerantut)

It also warned of bad weather in Sarawak, affecting Samarahan (Simunjan), Kapit (Kapit and Belaga), Bintulu (Bintulu and Sebauh) and Miri (Subis and Beluru); Sabah, affecting the Interior (Kuala Penyu, Beaufort and Nabawan), West Coast (Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran and Kota Belud), Sandakan (Tongod, Telupid, Beluran and Sandakan) and Kudat; and FT Labuan.
