Man, 25, killed after m-bike rams into utility pole in JB


JOHOR BARU: A 25-year-old man died after crashing his motorcycle into a utility pole here.

Seri Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Sohaimi Ishak said the incident took place on Jalan Pasir Putih in Pasir Gudang at around 11.30pm on Sunday (Feb 9).

“The victim was on his way to Bandar Seri Alam from Taman Pasir Putih when he lost control of his motorcycle.

“He crashed into a utility poll and fell on the road divider,” he said in a statement on Monday (Feb 10).

ACP Mohd Sohaimi added that the victim sustained severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

He urged witnesses or those with information to get in touch with the police by heading to the nearest police station to assist in investigation under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
