Woman sells husband’s kidney, flees with lover

A WOMAN in India sold her husband’s kidney, took the money and ran off with her lover, Makkal Osai reported.

The woman from West Bengal was said to have demanded money from her husband for their daughter’s wedding.

The husband was forced to sell his kidney illegally for a million rupees (RM51,000).

The wife took the money and ran off to live with her boyfriend, whom she met via social media.

The husband later found out where they were living and confronted the wife several times asking for a divorce, but she kept chasing him away, promising to sign the papers later.

The husband eventually filed a police report.

State education department assistant director for Tamil schools R. Ravichandran said they expect more pupils to enrol before the new session begins on Feb 17.
