KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Annuar claims that a poster accusing him of being a traitor to Umno is being circulated at the party's general assembly here.

“I was told there is a poster (of me). Don’t know whose job is this, don’t know who created this narrative. But for sure, this is something that was approved, ” he said in a Facebook post.

Annuar's post also showed an image of a poster which read: “Umno being ridden by PPBM (Bersatu)? Who is bringing this motion? Under which agenda? Which delegate has been asked to support?"

However, the poster could not be found at the venue. The media is not allowed inside the KL World Trade Centre's Merdeka Hall, where delegates are gathering for the general assembly.

Annuar urged the perpetrators to repent.

“Looks like the culture of slander is becoming a new normal, ” he said in the post.
