KUALA LUMPUR: There are "parasites" in Umno who refuse to follow the party's decision and are still trying to muster support for Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), says Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

He said that although the supreme council had decided to sever ties with Bersatu, a group of apek lempang (parasites) are still going around peddling support for that party.

"Even yesterday (March 27), these parasites and their gangs were still roaming around," he said in his policy speech at the Umno General Assembly 2020 on Sunday (March 28).

He urged the group to stop what they are doing and to toe the party line.

"If you want to be leaders, please be loyal to the party's decision," said the Umno president.
