KOTA KINABALU: A clam hunting trip by three friends during low tide turned tragic when one of them drowned.

Abdul Nurkhairi Abdul Malik, 21, and his two friends were supposed to send some goods by boat to a factory near the Prantian river in Kalabakan, Tawau, but had to wait for the tide to rise before they could proceed on Sunday.
