Iran executes man convicted of killing policeman in unrest - Fars news agency


DUBAI, ⁠May 13 (Reuters) - ⁠Iran on Wednesday ‌executed a man convicted of ​repeatedly stabbing ⁠and ⁠killing a police officer ⁠during ‌nationwide ⁠protests in early 2026, ​the ‌semi-official news ⁠agency ​Fars news agency ⁠reported.

According to a ​report by rights group HRANA, ⁠a lawyer alleged that authorities did not ​allow ⁠independent lawyers ​to ‌take the case.
