FOR those longing for a taste of Borneo without leaving the Klang Valley, the Pasar Borneo Seri Kembangan offers a slice of Sabah and Sarawak cultures on Saturdays.
The market has more than 70 stalls selling Sabahan and Sarawakian produce, food and crafts.

Be it kek lapis, kolok mee, mee kampua, ikan pansuh, tuak, laksa Sarawak or linopot, there is no shortage from the two states to choose from.

There are also many different fruits and vegetables, such as paku keruk (fiddlehead fern), kasai, bambangan and dabai.

The market also sells handicraft, including Sarawakian beadwork and traditional Melanau headwear.

Set up in 2016, the Bornean market started with just 17 stalls.

The cultural and social hub also used to offer traditional dance classes aimed at preserving a sense of cultural identity.
There are plans to resume the classes after a temporary halt.

Open every Saturday from 7am to 11am, it is located at Jalan Jinma 7, Seri Kembangan Commercial Centre in Selangor.
