ARTIFICIAL intelligence (AI) is transforming the bereavement care industry.
“AI is already part of our lives,” said Nirvana Alliance executive director Datuk Reeno Kong.
“We should consider how it can help us deliver more precise product training, conduct effective motivational programmes for team members and identify potential customers more easily on social platforms online.”
Speaking at the “East Malaysia Nirvana Group Agent Recognition Night”, Kong said: “If we do not know how to make full use of AI, we will certainly be left behind.”
Separately, he said the Middle East conflict was also affecting the industry.
“During this period, many people have become more cautious with their spending, choosing to hold on to cash in anticipation of potentially difficult times.
“We at Nirvana are facing a similar situation, as more customers adopt a wait-and-see approach or take longer to make decisions.”
He congratulated Nirvana East Malaysia on achieving record-breaking sales totalling RM88.7mil in 2025.
“Sibu has consistently been one of the best-performing branches of the Nirvana Group in Malaysia.
“Although its population is relatively small, we have delivered outstanding results year after year.
“This support motivates us to strive for excellence in all aspects, from product quality and staff service to the upkeep and management of our facilities.”
The group’s chief operating officer for East Malaysia Au Kok Hua said the company made significant progress in recent years by expanding beyond the Chinese market.
“In Kota Kinabalu, we developed a non-Chinese section known as ‘Langadon’, which received very positive response.
“In Sibu, the non-Chinese community has also shown us tremendous support over the years and we plan to develop a similar section here in the near future.
“This demonstrates that the Nirvana brand has transcended ethnic boundaries, moving beyond a single market to achieve broader appeal and becoming a trusted choice.”
