SJK(C) Sunsuria receives RM1mil donation from Nirvana Asia Group

KUALA LUMPUR: SJK(C) Sunsuria received a RM1mil donation from Nirvana Asia Group to support the construction of the school in Sunsuria City, Sepang.

The contribution was presented by Nirvana Asia Group founder and executive chairman Tan Sri Kong Hon Kong to SJK(C) Sunsuria Construction Committee chairman Tan Sri Ter Leong Yap.

The contribution marks a significant milestone in the project’s development and reflects a shared commitment to supporting educational infrastructure for the community.

SJK(C) Sunsuria is part of the national "10+6" school development plan initiative announced in 2017, which involves the construction of new schools and the relocation of selected existing schools to areas with higher demand, including parts of Selangor.

“We are deeply grateful to Kong and Nirvana Asia Group for their generous RM1mil donation towards the development of the school,” said Ter.

“Education is a cornerstone of strong communities and we remain committed to delivering a high-quality learning environment that will benefit generations of students.

“With the continued support of responsible corporate partners such as Nirvana, we are confident this project will make a meaningful and lasting contribution to the community.”

Ter, also remarked that the collaboration with Nirvana Asia Group reflects a shared commitment to supporting educational development for the community.

The school is targeted for completion by 2027, with student enrolment to begin in 2028.

The approximately 2.8ha campus will feature 24 classrooms, two special education resource rooms, two science laboratories, one design and technology workshop, two visual arts classrooms, two multimedia computer rooms, two music rooms, a separate multi-purpose hall, a canteen, a running track and field, a basketball court and a preschool kindergarten with two classrooms, a canteen and a playground upon completion.

Located within Sunsuria City, Sepang, the school is intended to support the educational needs of families within the surrounding community.
