Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) unveiled its latest “Gerobok Rezeki” station at Surau Al-Mustaqimah to better support vulnerable communities.

The programme provides free daily necessities to the underprivileged in Section 7, Shah Alam, operating on a charitable “take what you need, give what you can” model.

The community cupboards are typically located in high-traffic public areas such as mosques, surau and educational institutions.

MBSA, together with the Zone 3 Residents Representative Council (MPP), worked to set up a cupboard and filled it with RM5,000 worth of daily necessities.

At the unveiling ceremony, MBSA also presented a contribution of RM3,000 to the surau management.

Present at the event were MBSA councillor Nur Yusmi Mohd Yusop and MBSA deputy secretary (management) Shahrin Ahmad.
