Kluang district in Johor will soon get its first extreme sports park.
The park, expected to be completed by the second quarter of next year, is built under a collaboration between property developer Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd (Matrix Concepts) and Motomarin Sdn Bhd (X Park).
Matrix Concepts co-chief executive officer Chai Keng Wai said it was investing RM10mil in building the park located in its Bandar Seri Impian (BSI) township.

“We have spoken to the local council and have received lots of support.
“We may be able to start site clearing by the end of March and begin operations around the second quarter of next year,” he said after the memorandum of agreement (MoA) signing ceremony between Matrix Concepts and X Park.
Chai said homeowners in the township and surrounding areas would be able to use the facility.
“There are special member privileges for BSI homeowners, but the park is open to the public,” he said, adding that BSI had at least 60,000 residents.
X Park managing director Rocky Siow said this was the second collaboration for the two companies, with the first being the launch of X Park in Bandar Sri Sendayan, Negri Sembilan.
“We are excited about this collaboration that will provide families and thrill-seekers a chance to create unforgettable memories together.”
Activities to be expected, Siow said, included go-karting, badminton, archery, basketball and rock climbing. There will also be a golf driving range and cafes.
The ceremony was witnessed by Kluang MP Wong Shu Qi, who is also chairman of Talent Corporation Malaysia Bhd.
In her speech, Wong said the park would provide recreational and economic benefits to the region.
“With developments such as the upgrading of highways, the Electric Train Service and the Rapid Transit System Link, Kluang is becoming increasingly connected to major economic centres like Johor Baru, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.
“This connectivity opens doors for economic diversification, tourism and residential expansion.
“The introduction of the park here aligns well with this growth.
“We are confident that, with developments like these, Kluang will continue to attract new businesses, talent and investments,” she added.
