JOHOR BARU: Private tahfiz schools have two years from now to register with the Johor Islamic Religious Department (JAIJ) or risk having to cease their operations.

Johor Islamic Religious Affairs and Education Committee chairman Aminolhuda Hassan said those planning to open schools must fulfil the requirements before applying for operating licence.
