COCO Steamboat, one of the pioneer homegrown steamboat restaurants, believes that the bubbling broth and sizzling sounds of the steamboat represent more than just good food.
It represents a tradition that strengthens bonds, by sharing a pot of happiness with people both near and far, whether physically or virtually during this time.
Coco Steamboat is presenting a takeaway “Abundant Dabao Set” (non-halal) this festive season.
It offers a selection of seasonal ingredients from the restaurant along with its special pork bone broth base, which are ideal for reunion meals.
The “Abundant Dabao Sets” are available in three packages. Priced at RM288, RM488 and RM688, the sets are suitable for groups of up to four, six and 10 respectively.
Among the featured items in each set are yee sang, fresh prawns and fish, pork slices, Tobiko Squid Balls, Sweet Dried Oyster with Mushroom Pork Balls and Premium Braised Abalone with Broccoli.
Each set also features a pack of garlic-flavoured bakwa (dried meat) from homegrown brand Oloiya, thus allowing customers to support another local business with their order.
The “Abundant Dabao Sets” are available until Feb 28.
This Chinese New Year, the brand is reflecting upon the hurdle of maintaining traditions virtually and has launched a web film entitled Reunited Apart.
It depicts the idea of a reunion that one can attend despite being miles apart, but with the right use of gadgets, anyone will be able to enjoy the virtual reunion meal with their loved ones.
The web film can be viewed on the restaurant’s social media platforms.
There are also on-going promotions for both takeaway and delivery options on purchase of non-festive items from Coco Steamboat.
