KL hotel celebrates third anniversary by giving back

Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel and Convention Centre marked the third anniversary of its transformation with acts of kindness and community engagement.

This year’s celebration involved Pusat Jagaan Kasih Murni, a home that shares a meaningful connection with the hotel.

Ahead of its reopening in 2023, the hotel helped rebuild the home’s playground as part of a community initiative rooted in Renaissance’s DNA and Marriott International’s TakeCare programme.

Three years on, the anniversary served as a meaningful opportunity to revisit the home, strengthen those connections and create new memories with its residents through the distribution of 50 packed meals and donations of essential items.

“At Marriott, putting people first extends beyond our associates and guests, to the communities around us,” said Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel and Convention Centre and Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, City Centre multi-property general manager Martin Ehlers.

“Seeing the playground being enjoyed and how it brought smiles to the children all these years was heartwarming.”

The spirit of giving continued with the hotel team distributing 100 packs of house-made refreshments to e-hailing drivers and delivery riders around the city.
