A respite from city life in the spirit of Ramadan awaits travellers to Genting Highlands, Pahang.

Guests to Resorts World Awana, for one, can expect a rejuvenating experience amid the rainforest as they tuck into the buka puasa buffet.

With flavours drawn from culinary heritage and family recipes, the “Ramadan Buffet Warisan Awana” will appeal to those wanting a taste of tradition.

Curated by executive chef Ahmad Rosnie, the spread offers delights such as Gulai Ikan Tongkol, Rendang Tok, Pasembur Penang, Sotong Bakar, Nasi Kandar, Seafood Shell Out, the quintessential grilled mutton and beef, and crowd-favourite Sup Gearbox.

Ten sambal pastes and condiments have been recreated for the buffet.

Guests can choose from various appetisers and traditional desserts, while there is also made-to-order warm aromatic roti served with dhal, coconut chutney and kesari.

As with previous years, there are also live cooking stations.

Available until March 30, the buffet is priced at RM106nett per adult and RM86nett per child (aged four to 12) or senior citizen (aged 60 and above).

A slightly cheaper rate is available for online bookings.
