Local twists elevate classic drink

KUALA Lumpur’s bar scene is shaking things up for Negroni Week, giving the timeless Italian aperitif a distinctly Malaysian twist until Sept 27, with some spots extending the drinks till the end of the month.

While the iconic cocktail traditionally relies on a precise balance of gin, Campari and sweet vermouth, mixologists across the city’s top hotel lounges are pushing creative boundaries with bold local infusions, ranging from vibrant torch ginger and tangy calamansi to citrusy pomelo.

Cocktail enthusiasts can sample these inventive, limited-edition creations at featured hotel bars throughout the weekend.
