PETALING JAYA: Ananda Lim Yin Chuen will not be contented with just making an appearance at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games next month.
Afterall, the 25-year-old will finally make his long awaited Commonwealth Games appearance after missing out on the squad for Birmingham four years ago due to personal commitments.
The Penang-born swimmer is looking forward to measure himself against some of the world's fastest sprinters from Australia, England and Scotland on the Commonwealth stage.
Ananda specialises in the 100m freestyle event and holds a personal best of 49.73s, which he had set in Bukit Jalil last year to earn World Championships qualification.

Ananda said he was ready to respond to the expectations to perform after settling down under new American coach Michael Kinross.
"The training workload has increased over the last two weeks with our new coach settling down here," he said.
"His training programme is similar to what I went through while I was studying in US previously.
"It's high volume, high intensity on the overall. I believe we can post competitive times at the Commonwealth Games.
"We are looking beyond the Commonwealth Games as our main goal is the Asian Games in Japan in two months from now.

"I will try to improve the national record for the 100m freestyle and help the 4x200m freestyle relay team do well," said Ananda.
He has his sights set on breaking the 100m freestyle national record of 49.54s held by Olympian Welson Sim since 2019.
The other swimmers selected for the Commonwealth Games are SEA Games gold medallist Khiew Hoe Yean, Jayden Tan and Arvin Shaun Singh.
