PETALING JAYA: Waking up at 4am for pool training almost every day is not everyone’s cup of tea, but for teen Jodie Yip, it has become part of the routine.

And the 14-year-old’s dedication and discipline finally paid off when she ended Melaka’s eight-year wait for a Malaysia Games (Sukma) swimming gold medal by winning the women’s 200m breaststroke final on Saturday.
