Verdict:

TRUE
The incident occurred at approximately 6.20pm at the Lebuh Alor Gajah-Melaka Tengah-Jasin junction near Kandang, Melaka.
In the video, the suspect is seen stopping his sedan abruptly before getting out and walking towards a car that had stopped at the junction.
He then punched the left side window of the car several times before wrenching the door open and hitting and kicking the driver in front of other road users.
A woman believed to be his wife then rushed out carrying a baby in an attempt to calm him down and stop him from continuing his assault.
The suspect, still visibly agitated, approached the victim again and berated him before the situation was brought under control.
The footage is believed to have been recorded by another road user travelling behind the vehicles before being uploaded to social media, where it drew widespread condemnation.
Acting Melaka Tengah district police chief Superintendent Halim Abas said initial investigations found the incident was believed to have stemmed from a misunderstanding and dissatisfaction while on the road.
Both individuals involved were called in to have their statements recorded.
"The complainant and suspect have reached a mutual understanding and reconciled amicably.
"They have also indicated that they do not intend to take the matter further and have resolved it peacefully," said Halim.
Both parties expressed regret over the incident and pledged to be more careful and to control their emotions while on the road in future.
Halim stressed, however, that any act capable of disturbing public order or contravening the law would still be assessed and acted upon in accordance with the relevant legal provisions.
