A VIDEO uploaded on social media recently shows blurry images of several people involved in a night-time scuffle.
At one point the camera pans to a man lying on the ground.
It was claimed in the original post that two men were left seriously injured and that the incident allegedly occurred in Bemban, Melaka.
Did a fight break out there as claimed?
Verdict:

TRUE
Police said six men and a woman were arrested after a dispute allegedly linked to a missing purse escalated into a brawl that left two men seriously hurt in Bemban.
Jasin OCPD Supt Lee Robert said the suspects, aged 20 to 29, were picked up in separate raids around Melaka between 3pm and 6.50pm on Tuesday (June 23).
He said preliminary investigations indicated that the incident stemmed from a disagreement involving a woman known as "Rina" and a purse that was allegedly taken by a 19-year-old youth.
Supt Lee said the parties agreed to meet near a petrol station in Jalan Gapam, Bemban, at 12.10am on Tuesday to settle the matter.
"However, an argument ensued and the 19-year-old was allegedly slapped by one of the suspects.
"The youth then contacted his family members for assistance before his elder brother arrived at the scene, when the confrontation escalated into a fight involving two groups of men using their bare hands and a stick," he said on Wednesday (June 24).
The violence left two men, aged 21 and 28, with serious injuries.
Supt Lee said one victim suffered bleeding in the brain and is being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU) at Hospital Melaka, while the other sustained severe injuries to his limbs and is also at the same hospital.
"Both are reported to be in stable condition," he said.
He said all seven suspects admitted being at the scene during the incident, although some claimed they were merely attempting to break up the fight.
"The woman who was detained claimed she only recorded the incident on her mobile phone, while others denied taking part in the assault," he said.
Supt Lee said his men have also identified another man known only as "Alif", who remains at large and is believed to have been involved.
"Efforts are underway to trace him to assist in the investigation.
"We also seized several items believed to be linked to the case, including mobile phones, clothing and a wooden stick suspected to have been used during the fight," he said.
Supt Lee said all seven suspects were expected to be brought before a Magistrate on Wednesday for a remand application.
The case is being investigated under Sections 326 and 148 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt using a dangerous weapon or means, and for rioting while armed with a weapon.
Although a Google search returned a Facebook post among the results, the video appears to have been taken down at the time of writing.
It was, however, included in a news portal report on the incident.
