PUTRAJAYA: The former chief financial officer (CFO) of a statutory body-owned company was grilled for more than seven hours on the third day of questioning by graft busters.
It is part of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) investigation into the alleged abuse of power involving the purchase of shares in two plantation companies worth about RM370mil.
The statement was recorded at the MACC headquarters here on Thursday (Aug 6).
MACC chief commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman said the former senior executive arrived at the commission's headquarters at about 10am.
"The recording of his statement on the third day concluded at around 5.30pm. The process will continue tomorrow for a fourth day," he said in a brief statement on Thursday (Aug 6).
The MACC is investigating allegations of abuse of power linked to the acquisition of shares in two plantation companies, with the transaction said to be worth approximately RM370mil.
