"Police and medical personnel rushed to the location to conduct initial investigations and provide assistance.

"The victim was brought to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital for treatment and is said to be in critical condition," said Comm Mohd Alwi in a statement.

He said investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the incident.

"The police are still gathering statements from witnesses and would investigate the matter from all aspects.

"The people are advised not to speculate or spread unverified information on the incident," he said.

"The people should also respect the privacy of the school, victim and his family, while the victim is being treated and his family's welfare is protected.

"The police will investigate the matter transparently and thoroughly, and would also provide the latest development on the matter from time to time," he added.
