COSMETICS entrepreneur Datuk Seri Vida believes that her daughter Cik B may have played a role in sparking rumours linking her to singer and celebrity chef Datuk Fazley Yaakob, Kosmo! reported.
Vida, whose real name is Hasmiza Othman, said that Cik B had spent time with Fazley’s family while they were participating in Talk To My Manager 2 and saw how he cared for his children.
“Actually, Cik B started it first. Maybe she was just teasing me and joking about the matter.
“I can’t comment much. Whether we are just friends or something more, we’ll see and go with the flow.”
Vida also admitted she was surprised that Cik B, whose real name is Nur Edlynn Zamileen Muhammad Amin, 21, appeared supportive of the idea of her having a special relationship with Fazley, as her daughter had previously rejected men linked to her.
> Concerns were raised over a recent birthday celebration with a mystical theme in Kelantan that went viral on social media.
Kosmo! reported that Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin rector Prof Dr Rozaimi Ramle said the Perlis Fatwa Committee had issued a fatwa in 2023 regarding programmes involving mystical elements such as haunted houses.
“Among superstitious beliefs associated with mysticism is the notion that the spirits of the dead return or roam about to disturb the living.
“As such, organising haunted- house programmes or activities that promote superstition, create excessive fear, humiliate individuals or cause harm is prohibited under Islamic law,” he said.
Rozaimi said that while jinns and devils exist, Muslims are encouraged to avoid beliefs and practices that could lead to superstition that would affect their faith.
He also urged the public to report activities containing elements that contradict Islamic teachings.
