SINGAPORE: Malaysia’s High Commissioner to Singapore, Datin Paduka Anizan Siti Hajjar Adnin (pic), presented her letter of credence to President Tharman Shanmugaratnam at the Istana on Tuesday (July 21).
Prior to her appointment, Anizan Siti Hajjar served as the Deputy Secretary-General (Management Services) at Malaysia’s Foreign Ministry from 2023. She joined the ministry in 1994.
She previously served as Malaysia's High Commissioner to Canada from 2021 to 2023 and Ambassador to Ireland (2017-2018).
Anizan Siti Hajjar had also served at Malaysia’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York and the Permanent Mission to the United Nations Office at Geneva.
Meanwhile, United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Singapore Dr Abdulnasser Jamal Hussain Mohammed Al Shaali also presented his letter of credence to President Tharman in a separate ceremony on Tuesday, Singapore’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement. - Bernama
