Kajang murder probe: Cops nab five suspects


KAJANG: Investigations into the murder of a man found dead near a housing area in Bandar Mahkota Cheras have led to the arrest of five suspects.

In a statement Tuesday (July 21), Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Naazron Abdul Yusof said that all five were foreigners aged in their twenties and thirties.

“One suspect was arrested on July 20, and has been remanded for six days. The remaining four will be remanded tomorrow to assist investigations,” he said.

Investigations have also confirmed that the deceased is a foreigner in his twenties.

“The victim is known to have been working in the area. Investigations are still ongoing to determine the motive behind the fatal stabbing,” he said.

On Monday (July 20) morning, the body of a man was found near a housing area in Bandar Mahkota Cheras.

A post-mortem examination conducted at the Kajang Hospital found that the cause of death was bleeding in the abdomen caused by stab wounds.
