MetMalaysia warns of thunderstorms in several states until 7pm (May 19)


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has warned of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in several states until 7pm on Tuesday (May 19).

In a statement at 4.45pm on Tuesday, MetMalaysia said the states affected are Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak (Kerian and Larut, Matang and Selama); Terengganu (Dungun and Kemaman); Pahang (Bentong, Temerloh, Maran, Kuantan, Bera, Pekan and Rompin); Selangor (Hulu Langat and Sepang); Johor (Mersing, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru), Negeri Sembilan and FT Putrajaya.

It also warned of bad weather in Sarawak, affecting Sibu, Mukah (Matu and Dalat), Kapit, Bintulu (Tatau and Sebauh), Miri (Beluru, Telang Usan and Marudi) and Limbang; and Sabah, affecting the Interior (Sipitang, Tenom, Beaufort and Nabawan) and West Coast (Papar, Putatan and Penampang).
