E-rayuan service for withholding tax now accessible on MyTax portal

PUTRAJAYA: The e-Rayuan service for withholding tax collection can now be accessed online via the MyTax portal.

The Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) said taxpayers may submit appeals or enquiries under the individual role, while company directors may do so under the director role or by appointing a representative.

According to LHDN, taxpayers can access MyTax by clicking the login menu and selecting the role of individual/director/director's representative, followed by ezHasil services, e-Rayuan, e-Rayuan collection and then withholding tax (WHT), or refer to the e-Rayuan collection user manual upon logging into the MyTax portal.

"Taxpayers can submit appeals, applications and enquiries more easily and quickly compared with the previous method, which was handled via the Customer Feedback Form.

"This service covers various matters, including applications for payment adjustments, remission of increase, waivers, refunds, as well as enquiries related to withholding tax," it said in a statement on Tuesday (May 5).

In addition, LHDN said taxpayers can check the status of their applications at any time, providing a more transparent and user-friendly experience.

"This initiative reflects LHDN's commitment to expanding online services, reducing reliance on manual processes and enhancing service delivery efficiency," it added.

The MyTax portal can be accessed at https://mytax.hasil.gov.my. – Bernama
