SHAH ALAM: PKR vice-president Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun’s status as Negri Sembilan Mentri Besar remains under discussion following disputes over the post.

Amirudin said PKR remained grateful to the Yang di-Pertuan Besar, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, for consenting to Aminuddin continuing to lead the state administration, according to Sinar Harian.

He said the matter remained under review in accordance with the Federal Constitution and the custom of Negri Sembilan.

"This cannot be decided arbitrarily because it also involves customary structures, including the role of the state's laws and royal institutions."

"The legitimacy of the Mentri Besar position and the stability of the state government can only be ensured through processes enshrined in the constitution and custom," he said.

Amirudin said all parties should resolve the dispute through deliberation to keep the administration running.

He said this after a meeting at the Auditorium, Silver Jubilee Hall, Sultan Abdul Aziz Building, here on Monday (May 4), following the Selangor State-Level Workers' Day Celebration.
