State exco posts vacant, says Aminuddin

SEREMBAN: The four state exco positions held by Barisan Nasional assemblymen are now vacant after they withdrew support, says Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.

“Since they have already withdrawn support for both me and the state government, their positions will become vacant,” he told a press conference.

The exco’s are Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias, Datuk Ismail Lasim, Datuk Mustapha Nagoor and Datuk Mohd Faizal Ramli.

Aminuddin said the state government will continue to function as usual to ensure programmes for the people are carried out.

“On our part, we will continue to function as normal for now,” he said.

Aminuddin said that PKR central leadership have also been briefed on developments in the state.

“We did this previously under the Pakatan Harapan banner, and I am confident we can continue to run the state.

“We will decide later if we want to fill the four exco positions,” he added.

Asked if the date for the state assembly meeting has been fixed, Aminuddin said the matter has not been decided.

“We can have it within the next six months.”

The Mentri Besar expressed hope the people will remain calm and continue to support the state administration so that it can carry out its duties.
