Only the best for Shila’s fans

SINGER Shila Amzah (pic) is determined to perform her best whether in China or Malaysia.

Addressing claims that she is more popular in China, Shila, whose real name is Nurshahila Amir Amzah, 35, said fan reception is beyond her control.

She told Harian Metro that she remains committed to delivering her best regardless of where she performs.

“For me, what people like are things outside my jurisdiction. No matter where I am, whether in Malaysia or China, my efforts and interest in this field remain the same.

“It has nothing to do with whether I shine more there or in Malaysia. When I perform on stage, I actually feel the energy from the audience.

“If the energy is stronger, it gives me the motivation to perform better.”

Shila was responding to an ongoing discussion among social media users that claimed her influence is greater in China than in Malaysia, thus triggering various reactions.
