SOCIAL media users have expressed sympathy for Marissa Dania Hakim after the daughter of celebrities Norman Hakim and Abby Abadi shared an emotional post on why certain parties continue to raise issues about her marriage, Berita Harian reported.

The 20-year-old said she had already admitted her past mistakes but had not made any more since becoming a wife.

“Is it fair to keep raising matters before my marriage when I have not done anything since then? I have already admitted my faults and shortcomings,” she said in her post.

Marissa Dania also revealed that she did not receive what she described as her rightful entitlements as a wife but chose to remain silent and avoided making demands publicly.

“In fact, I did not receive my rights as a wife as I should have, fairly so, and I did not demand anything or say anything about it,” she added.

Marissa Dania questioned the actions of certain individuals who she claimed were willing to expose the faults of others simply to gain public support.

Her post sparked mixed reactions online, with some expressing sympathy while others continued to criticise her past.

Marissa Dania’s marriage had previously come under public scrutiny after reports surfaced that she tied the knot in Songkhla, Thailand, on Dec 27, 2023.

She became the second wife of social media influencer Ahmad Aslam, who remains married to influencer Umisya Mazlan.

It was also reported that Ahmad Aslam had allegedly pronounced divorce twice and reconciled with Marissa in 2024 and the previous year.

> Singer and actor Naim Daniel has chosen to limit his appearances to closed-door performances amid ongoing legal proceedings related to an alleged sexual assault, Harian Metro reported.

The 28-year-old, whose full name is Muhammad Naim Daniel Baharin, said he misses performing on the big stage but is taking a cautious approach for now.

“I have received a lot of direct messages from fans saying they miss seeing me perform.

“The truth is I miss it too and I still perform but these are mostly private shows,” he added.

The Sumpah singer said his decision to scale back public performances was made out of sensitivity to public perception surrounding the case.

“I know that if I am involved in large shows, it will attract widespread attention and become a talking point. So for my own good, I feel it is better to filter the shows I accept,” he said.

Naim added that he is now more mindful in how he goes about his personal and professional life.
