Continuous rain warning issued for seven states on Dec 17

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) issues a continuous rain warning for seven states, including two federal territories.

In an updated statement on Wednesday (Dec 17), the agency said that heavy rain was expected in parts of Pahang, Terengganu, Johor, Kelantan, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Negri Sembilan, and Melaka until Thursday (Dec 18).

The statement said that continuous torrential rain was expected across the states of Pahang (Kuantan, Pekan, and Rompin). Constant heavy rain was expected to occur over the states of Terengganu (Dungun and Kemaman), Pahang (Jerantut, Maran and Bera) and Johor (Segamat, Kluang, Mersing and Kota Tinggi).

It also said that continuous rain was expected to occur over the states of Kelantan, Terengganu (Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu and Marang), Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Bentong and Temerloh), Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Negri Sembilan, Melaka, and Johor (Tangkak, Muar, Batu Pahat, Pontian, Kulai and Johor Bahru).
