Pahang Sultan, Tengku Ampuan extend condolences over Bung Moktar's passing


KUANTAN: The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and Tengku Ampuan of Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, have extended their condolences to the family of the late Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin, who died early Friday (Dec 5).

In a message shared via the official Kesultanan Pahang Facebook page, Their Royal Highnesses also prayed for the bereaved family to be granted strength in facing the decrees of Allah SWT.

They also prayed for the late Bung Moktar's soul to be blessed and granted a place among the beloved servants of Allah.

Bung Moktar, 66, died at a private hospital here at 1.46am, and his passing was confirmed by his son, Naim Kurniawan Moktar.

His remains were taken to the family home in Luyang before funeral prayers were performed at the Kota Kinabalu City Mosque, followed by burial at the Kampung Likas Cemetery after Friday prayers.

Bung Moktar, who was also Kinabatangan MP, had retained the Lamag seat in the 17th Sabah state election on Nov 29. - Bernama
