Fuel prices Nov 6-12: Diesel prices in peninsula up 7sen, RON95, RON97 unchanged


KUALA LUMPUR: The retail prices of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will increase by 7sen from Nov 6 to 12.

The Finance Ministry, in a statement Wednesday (Nov 5) said the retail price of diesel will increase to RM3.02 per litre in Peninsular Malaysia and remain at RM2.15 per litre in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan over the same period.

It added that the price of RON97 petrol would remain at RM3.20 per litre nationwide.

It said that the price of unsubsidised RON95 petrol would remain at RM2.60 a litre, while the price for Budi95 subsidised RON95 would be maintained at RM1.99 a litre.

It said the prices were set based on the weekly retail pricing of petroleum products using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism formula.

"The government will continue to monitor the trends of global crude oil prices and take appropriate measures to ensure the continued welfare and well-being of the people," it added.
