Slow traffic reported on major highways


PETALING JAYA: Slow traffic has been reported along several highways, says the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM).

It said major highways including the KL-Karak Highway and the East Coast Highway 1 were reporting slow-moving traffic.

In Negri Sembilan, traffic was slow from Pedas Linggi to Seremban as well as from the Sungai Besi toll plaza towards Kuala Lumpur.

Other areas with slow traffic include Permatang Pauh to Perai, and Gopeng to Bidor.

Along the North-South Expressway (NSE) congestion was reported from Jasin to Ayer Keroh, from the Ayer Keroh rest area to Simpang Ampat and from Pedas Linggi to Seremban.

From the south, Sungai Petani to Bertam, and from Bidor to Sungkai are experiencing heavy traffic as well.

Several accidents have also occurred, leading to more congestion, including at KM99.2 of the NSE from North Yong Peng to Ayer Hitam.

Another accident was reported at KM258.2 of the NSE from Kuala Kangsar to the Meru tunnel.
