Police say no sign of bullying in murder at Bandar Utama school


PETALING JAYA: Police found no sign of bullying in the murder of a female student at a Bandar Utama school, says Asst Comm Shamsudin Mamat.

The Petaling Jaya OCPD added that the motive for the killing is still being investigated.

He said teachers who heard the victim’s screams tried to intervene, but she was already dead when they arrived on Tuesday (Oct 14).

Police personnel are at the school to record statements from students and teachers.

This includes friends and classmates of the victim and the suspect.

“We will seek a remand order to facilitate investigations,” he said.

He added the case is being investigated as murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

He added that further updates will be announced once the post mortem is concluded.
