Wan Saiful's meeting with Bersatu disciplinary board postponed

SHAH ALAM: The meeting between Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) division chief Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan and the party's disciplinary board regarding allegations of

collecting statutory declarations (SDs) to oust president, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, scheduled for Thursday (Sept 25), has been postponed, Sinar Harian reports.

Wan Saiful, who is also a Bersatu supreme council member, told the Malay language daily that he received the postponement message just as he was nearing the party's headquarters at the Yayasan Selangor building here.

"The meeting with the disciplinary board scheduled for noon today has been postponed. I was almost at the party office when I read the message about the postponement.

"I intended to attend because I wanted to ask those making these accusations where they got the story that forms the basis of their claims," he told Sinar Harian.

He explained that he was not informed of the reasons for the postponement and that no new date has been set for the next meeting.

"I have contacted the disciplinary board secretary to be informed if a new date is set," he added.

Previously, media reports indicated that four Bersatu division chiefs, including Wan Saiful, would be brought before the disciplinary boardfor disciplinary action regarding these allegations.

Besides Wan Saiful, the other three Bersatu leaders summoned are Ampang division chief Mohd Isa Saidi; Sepang division chief Datuk Suhaimi Mohd Ghazali; and Ipoh Timor division chief

Muhammad Fadhli Ismail.
