Fifth RXZ Members 7.0 participant dies on their way back to Johor


DUNGUN: A restaurant worker on his way to Segamat, Johor, after attending the RXZ Members 7.0 programme in Kuala Nerus, died when the motorcycle he was riding was involved in an accident at KM 342.9 of Lebuhraya Pantai Timur 2 (LPT2), near the Paka R&R Stop, reported Sinar Harian.

The victim, Muhammad Irfan Izzuddin Md Ahzli, 20, sustained serious head and body injuries.

The incident was reported to have occurred at about 1.22pm on Sunday (Aug 24) when the victim was in a convoy returning to Johor.

The accident was believed to have occurred when the victim's motorcycle lost control before skidding and being dragged to the right lane of the highway.

The victim who fell on the road was pronounced dead at the scene by the medical team.

Meanwhile, Dungun OCPD, Supet Maizura Abdul Kadir, confirmed that she had received a report regarding the incident.

According to her, the victim's body was taken to the Dungun Hospital Forensic Unit for further action.

On Saturday (Aug 23), Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) director Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri confirmed that the police had received four reports of fatal accidents involving participants of the event.
