> Malaysia’s first cinematic film featuring a giant monster will hit cinemas with a strong environmental message.

The concept of Abu Si Raksasa was inspired by a discussion on pollution issues between producer Zamin Fakry and environmental expert Prof Dr Hezri Adnan.

The film, which premieres on Sept 11, blends science fiction with the Japanese Kaiju genre, famous for featuring colossal creatures.

The story follows a pet salamander, Abu, which mutates into a monster after being exposed to chemicals from toilet cleaning products, Metro Ahad reported.

“We want to offer something different and breathe new life into the film industry,” said Zamin.

> Actor Ashraf Muslim has expressed his disapproval of polygamy when a couple is unable to have children.

“This is a very serious and sensitive issue. Remarriage and children are significant matters that affect individuals, their partners, and their families,” the 40-year-old actor told Utusan Malaysia.

“While we experience the joy of family, if we run from problems only to face new ones, that is wrong.”

Ashraf, who stars in the drama Mandul Bukan Pilihan, expressed this when asked about the issue of infertility.

He advised the public to maintain open communication with their spouse about such decisions, cautioning against seeing polygamy as the only solution.
