KUALA LUMPUR: The government is considering whether to make it a requirement to label artificial intelligence-generated content as “AI generated” under the Online Safety Act 2024, which is expected to come into force by year-end, says Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.

The Communications Minister said the move is crucial to address the misuse of AI, such as scams, defamation and identity impersonation, especially on social media platforms.
