EDAN Lui of Hong Kong boy band Mirror has appealed to his fans to stop attacking Malaysian actress Lin Min Chen, whom he is courting, Sin Chew Daily reported.

“Ever since I openly admitted to pursuing her, she has been maligned. She is under much pressure and I understand how she feels.”

Lui, who raised the matter during an appearance in a TV show recently, said he was saddened that Lin had to deal with the online vitriol.

Many of Lui’s female fans accused Lin of using her physical attributes to seduce him.

Lui, 28, said he had initially opted to keep silent when Lin was being criticised, fearing that the situation would worsen if he speaks out.

However, his silence had only attracted more hate towards Lin.

“I want to tell everyone that she is a good person.

“She is important to me. She helped me a lot when I was feeling down.”

“I know how haters think, but I hope those who love me will not attack her,” he said.

Lui urged his fans to allow him space in his personal life.

Based in Taiwan, Lin, 34, has released several music albums and appeared in TV series and films.
