SINGER Michael Wong (pic) has hinted that he will be adding an extra concert date after all the tickets to his upcoming concert at Stadium Merdeka were sold out in just over an hour.

China Press reported that more than 140,000 fans joined the online queue on Monday in hopes of getting tickets which were all priced at RM199 each.

In just an hour and a half after sales opened at noon, all of the tickets were gone, leaving thousands of fans disappointed.

Many took to social media to express their frustration.

However, the Malaysian singer hinted on social media on Thursday that he may be able to add an extra concert date if there was enough support.

“I have received so many messages these few days from fans who said they did not manage to get the ticket for the concert on July 19.

“We are holding a meeting to discuss if it is possible to have a second show. This is to make up to those who felt disappointed that they did not manage to get a ticket,” he posted on Facebook.

Wong, who started his music career in the 1990s, was once nominated in the Best Male Mandarin Singer category in the 1997 Golden Melody Awards. He is best known for his song Fairy Tale which was released in 2005.

> A woman in China’s Guangdong province was pranked by a colleague and locked inside a freezer at the restaurant where she worked, China Press reported.

Upon reviewing CCTV footage, it was revealed that a male colleague had shut the freezer door from the outside.

Footage showed that he was laughing when he succeeded in pulling off the plank.

The woman screamed and banged at the freezer door but no one came to her aid.

It was after she phoned her boss that she was told the freezer door had an emergency release allowing those trapped inside to escape.

After she got out, the woman confronted the colleague with the CCTV footage but he claimed to have locked the door by accident.

It was after she made a police report that he apologised.

The woman said while she was not injured, her colleague’s actions angered her.

“If I had not brought my phone with me, I shudder to think what would have happened to me,” she said.

Many Internet users criticised the colleague for his behaviour.

“What if she did not manage to find the emergency release and ended up freezing to death inside?

“This could have easily turned into a murder case,” a netizen said.
