Razman not 'rested', still Perak PAS chief, says party veep

TAPAH: Gunung Semanggol assemblyman Razman Zakaria has not been "rested" and is still the Perak PAS commissioner, says Datuk Idris Ahmad.

The PAS vice-president said reports that Razman, who is also state Opposition whip, had been suspended were not true.

"He is still the (state) commissioner.

"The reports are not true, just being played up by certain media," he said when met during a programme with constituents in Temoh Stesyen on Saturday (April 12).

"He is also the Perak Perikatan Nasional deputy chairman," he added.

It was reported in March that Razman, a two-term state assemblyman, had been "rested" from his duties as the state party commissioner.

The question arose after his position as the state party commissioner was omitted in a Ramadan greeting on his Facebook page.

It was also reported that the party's central leadership had made the decision after Razman had made allegations against several leaders.

These included allegations that Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh was related to YTL Corporation Bhd earlier this year and for trying to tie Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming to a Chinese flag-flying incident in Teluk Intan in October last year.

Razman has apologised to both.
