Azam Baki to provide statement over police probe into alleged threats against Albert Tei

KAJANG: The police will record the statement of former MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki as part of its probe into allegations of threats against businessmen Albert Tei.

Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Comm Datuk M. Kumar said in a press conference at the Kajang police headquarters on Tuesday (May 26) that police have recorded two statements: one from Tei and one from the lawyer who supposedly conveyed the threats to him.

However, he said investigations are ongoing and police need time to complete the probe.

Tei had alleged that he was threatened and mistreated when he attempted to expose several high-profile politicians in Sabah whom he claimed were involved in corruption scandals.
