A DELIVERY rider in India was arrested after mistakenly delivering chicken briyani to a vegetarian woman, Makkal Osai reported.

The young woman, from Uttar Pradesh, posted a tearful video after eating three scoops, before realising it was chicken briyani and not the vegetarian one she had ordered.

Unable to contact the closed restaurant, she shared her frustration online, sparking similar complaints and fuelling Hindu nationalist calls for a meatless and alcohol-free India.

Police nabbed the rider, though it’s unclear if a formal report was filed, prompting online criticism of their prioritisation.

> The kabbadi and silambam events may be excluded from Sukma 2026, much to the dismay of the Indian community, Malaysia Nanban reported.

The Kabbadi Association of Malaysia notes the sport’s Asian and SEA Games recognition, but it is “under consideration” status for Sukma.

Selangor’s potential exclusion could lead Kelantan to follow suit in 2028, it said.

The association confirms a letter has been sent to Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh.
