CONSTRUCTION and property development solutions provider MGB Bhd – a subsidiary of LBS Bina Group Bhd, held a roof topping ceremony for its Idaman Cahaya 2 development at the project site in U12 Shah Alam, Selangor recently.

The event, which was officiated by MGB group executive chairman Tan Sri Ir Dr Lim Hock San, marked the completion of the project’s building structure phase.

Idaman Cahaya 2 is the second phase of the Idaman Cahaya development. MGB previously completed roof topping for Idaman Cahaya 1 in December 2024.

Idaman Cahaya 2 comprises 872 units out of the overall 1,853 units under the Idaman Cahaya development which spans over three phases.

To increase efficiency and shorten delivery times for properties, MGB uses its industrialised building system (IBS) pre-cast concrete panels.

This has enabled the group to reduce construction time by up to 33% and its reliance on manual labour by up to 31%.

Currently, MGB’s IBS factory in Nilai and its mobile plant in Alam Perdana can produce IBS pre-cast concrete panels of up to 6,000 units of residential properties annually.

To date, MGB has completed more than 12,000 units of properties using IBS precast concrete panels, with a further 3,000 units under construction.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lim said, “The progress of Idaman Cahaya is encouraging. We can complete the roof topping of Idaman Cahaya 2 within three months after completing the roof topping of Idaman Cahaya 1.

“We look forward to delivering the completed properties to eager homeowners. With each Rumah Idaman MBI development completed, more Malaysians can enjoy quality housing in strategic localities throughout the Klang Valley,” he added.
