Sultan Nazrin graces Perak-level Nuzul Al-Quran celebration


IPOH: Perak Ruler Sultan Nazrin Shah attended the 1446H/2025 statel-level Nuzul Al-Quran Celebration at the Sultan Azlan Shah Mosque here Monday (March 17).

Also in attendance were the Raja Muda of Perak, Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa, and Raja Di Hilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzulkarnain Sultan Idris Shah.

Also present were Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad, Perak Islamic Religion and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) president Tan Sri Mohd Annuar Zaini and state mufti Datuk Seri Wan Zahidi Wan Teh.

The event began with a tazkirah (short religious talk) on the miracles of the Quran, followed by the recitation of holy verses and tahlil, before Sultan Nazrin broke fast with about 1,000 guests.

The Perak Ruler and the congregation then performed Maghrib prayers.

Sultan Nazrin also handed over MAIPk's Hari Raya Aidilfitri aid totalling RM12,847,500 to sub-district chiefs of 12 districts for distribution to 42,825 recipients across the state.
