Two killed, one hurt in car-lorry collision on Seremban-PD Highway


The car crashed into the rear right side of the tanker lorry.

PORT DICKSON: Two people were killed when their car crashed into a tanker lorry along the Seremban-Port Dickson Highway early on Monday (Feb 3).

Port Dickson deputy police chief DSP Muhamad Mustafah Hussin said the victims were the 21-year-old car driver and a 20-year-old back seat passenger.

The accident happened around 6.20am at KM27.2 of the expressway.

Both vehicles were then heading towards Port Dickson.

"Investigations show that the car crashed into the rear right side of the tanker lorry.

"Both victims died on the spot while the 26-year-old front seat passenger suffered light injuries and was sent to hospital for treatment," he said in a statement.

The 57-year-old lorry driver escaped injury.

DSP Muhamad urged eyewitnesses to contact investigating officer Insp Mohd Zulhelmi Azman at 016-9984806 or any police station to assist in investigations.

The case is being probed under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
