A RURAL Tamil school in Perak has received a national award for robotics and dynamics, Makkal Osai reported.

SJK (T) Ladang Gula in Kerian with fewer than 40 students has a history of serving the community.

The award was given by the Education Ministry to recognise the school’s success in state and national robotics events.

Perak education department director Safuan Raba’ai handed over the certificate to headmaster Chandran Govindan during an award ceremony.

Teacher Hariharan Ezhumalai, who trained the students, deserves praise for this success, Chandran said.

The school board, parent-teacher association and the former students association extended their congratulations to the students and teachers for their continued efforts despite being a small school with limited resources.
